What does a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner do?

As Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, we are responsible for providing health care assessment and treatment to infants and children. We collaborate with physicians in developing treatment plans. We also order routine laboratory tests. Interpreting and analyzing test results is also part of our duty. We also assist in disease prevention, health education, and counseling. We enter all the required details in EMR in a timely manner. Working as Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, we are responsible for the identification, implementation, and referral of health problems. We provide special care to the patients assigned by physicians. Finally, we manage caseloads of patients based on practice goals and objectives.

  • ordering and analyzing laboratory tests
  • attending the meeting for professional development
  • documenting and updating all findings in EMR
  • collaborating with health teams in performing therapeutic and corrective measures
