Margaret Rudkin started Pepperidge Farm in 1937, naming it after her family's 123-acre farm in Fairfield, Connecticut, which was named after the pepperidge tree. It is situated in Norwalk, Connecticut, and is a subsidiary of the Campbell Soup Company. Goldfish crackers, several breads, and many brands of cookies are among Pepperidge Farm's offerings. The Distinctive line and the Farmhouse line are the main cookie lines they provide. Home bakers won't be able to duplicate the Distinctives. The Farmhouse brand, on the other hand, focuses on everyday cookies like chocolate chip and shortbread that anybody can make in their own kitchen at home.
