About Personal Care Aide

What does a Personal Care Aide do?

As Personal Care Aides, we assist people to prepare meals, eat meals, and observe proper hygiene. We also teach people how to use bathrooms, grooming habits, how to bathe, taking medicines, and related housework chores. We are tasked with cooking, light cleaning, doing laundry, running errands, and maintaining personal hygiene. It is our responsibility to engage clients in performing duties such as talking, playing games, and reading. We also consult with the client’s family to help them address their concerns in matters of nutrition, wellbeing, and health. We assist the elderly, chronically sick, the elderly, hospice patients, and those in rehabilitation centers.

Core tasks:

  • assisting people to observe personal hygiene
  • taking care of the elderly and mentally sick
  • teaching people on grooming habits
  • training people to play, read and talk
