What does a Personal Lines Underwriter do?

As the personal lines underwriters, we are responsible for looking into insurance applications and deciding whether an applicant is eligible for insurance or not. Our job role requires us to thoroughly check the applications, financial status, and other essential data. As the personal lines underwriters, we are very vigilant individuals because we work in an environment where we look after people’s lives. Our job also expects us to contact various financial departments and commercial underwriters to run a clients’ background check without wasting time efficiently.
