What does a Pharmacy Intern do?

Working as Pharmacy Interns, we are responsible for providing care to the patients. We participate in internship programs for gaining the pharmacist’s experience in the community. We have the ability to work under the supervision of senior pharmacists to deal with patients. In the role of Pharmacy Intern, we are accountable for ensuring the delivery of the highest quality customer service to the patients. We have the ability to work collaboratively with the other new pharmacy interns. We perform pharmacokinetic monitoring of patients. We also interpret the important patient information in the form of problems lists and past medical history reports.

Core tasks:

  • verifying the prescriptions
  • making files for maintaining the records of patients
  • performing basic tests
  • preparing the applicable vaccinations
  • handling the data entry and claim adjudication work
