About Pipeliner

What does a Pipeliner do?

As Pipeliners, we are responsible for performing maintenance of an oil or gas pipeline. Our job is to perform inspections to detect the damages done to the line. We determine the best equipment and approach for the issue and go ahead with a plan to resolve the problem. Our job is also to make repairs to the pipeline for the removal of defects. We are responsible for repairing and maintaining valves, pumps, and other pipeline parts. We work with a team to maintain a pipeline and perform other repairs too.

Core tasks:

  • removing rust and foreign substances from meters and valves by using sandblasting equipment
  • prevent corrosion and leakage by wrapping pipe with strips of paper or fabric
  • using squeegees and rakes for cleaning the storage tanks
