POET is an American biofuel firm that produces ethanol and other biorefined products. The firm provides food, ethanol feed, oils, lubricants, films, and plastic products. POET was originally called Broin Companies and is engaged in producing feed solutions and captured carbon. POET is expected to produce more than 20 million gallons of ethanol per year from leaves, corncobs, and husks provided by farmers.
