About Pool Manager

What does a Pool Manager do?

As pool managers, we oversee the daily operation and maintenance of our assigned pool. We also provide general supervision to staff (lifeguards). Our primary responsibility is to maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing the rules and regulations of the pool and surrounding area. Other tasks may include programming and supervision of lessons, completion of daily reports, promotion and scheduling of special events, basic pool maintenance, and scheduling and mentoring subordinate staff.

  • managing lifeguard staff, assisting in hiring, monitoring attendance and performance
  • chemical maintenance of pool
  • maintenance of pool filtration systems
  • mechanical troubleshooting
  • providing customer service
  • reporting issues to management
