About Post Closing Specialist

What does a Post Closing Specialist do?

We, post closing specialists, track key ancillary functions to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the post-closing process. Verifying that all documents are correct and ready to record, sending documents for recording, and assisting with final title policies are also our duties. Our responsibilities include sending documents to borrowers that were either not signed or incorrect at closing and monitoring their proper return. We also verify that all requests from the lender have been fulfilled.

Core tasks:

  • reviewing all files or documents for requested documents
  • tracking of the status of every loan to confirm every deadline is met
  • receiving purchase notifications daily from the investors
  • reviewing loans along with penalties to determine if valid
