What does a Prevention Specialist do?

Working as Prevention Specialists, we are responsible for leading the prevention programs at public places. We increase the awareness of health care and infectious diseases that could affect the health of people. Our primary goal is to guide the families and individuals about different risk reduction strategies to help them in living a safe and healthy life. Functioning as Prevention Specialists, we are accountable for staying involved in different risk assessment activities to assess the risks before they cause severe impacts. We develop new strategies that can help in the prevention of such harmful risks.

Core tasks:

  • working collaboratively with the prevention workers
  • guiding and coaching the newly hired workers
  • implementing new prevention plans
  • modifying the existing prevention plans
  • teaching the important prevention strategies to the public
