Ruckus a CommScope BU's IoT Suite simplifies the creation of IoT access networks through the reuse of LAN and WLAN infrastructure, thus accelerating deployments, reducing cost, and increasing the benefits from IoT solutions.

Our Enterprise IoT team is expanding and looking to add a highly talented software engineer as part of Enterprise Internet of Things (IoT) group. You will be working closely with cross functional teams of developers, administrators and product managers, to develop and deploy world class any-as-a-service native or hybrid applications and solutions in the cloud.
As a Principal Software Engineer you will own and lead software architecture and development of reusable software modules and SDKs with a deep understanding of distributed systems. You will collaborate with engineers to breakdown complex features into incremental deliverables and pursue simplicity, efficiency and performance.
Responsibilities:
Drive architecture and work across all phases of software development lifecycle ( Analysis, Design, Implementation, Deployment and Support)
Design and implement Multi Cloud Enterprise IoT services and solutions that are secure, scalable, reliable and responsive
Collaborate effectively with technical partners, software and hardware teams spread across the geos
Communicate technical ideas and directions across the organization
Self-starter requiring minimal direction, exercising latitude in determining goals of the assignment
Mentor junior engineers and provide hands-on technical guidance, involve in design and code review for other team members
Demonstrate creative thinking, intellectual and entrepreneurial exploration
Required Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or closely related field
Practical understanding of data structure, algorithms and design patterns
10+ Years of software development experience with a proven track record of ownership and delivery
Expertise in design and development of REST based services
Hands on experience in multi-threaded programming and distributed systems
Extensive programming experience in Core Java/Python and associated frameworks
Strong experience in Linux based systems and run time environment
Experience with container orchestration engines - Kubernetes/Mesos
Strong working knowledge of continuous development techniques ( Agile, CI/CD, Jenkins)
Experience with at least one of Perforce/GIT
Experience with one of cloud-based architectures - AWS/ Azure/ GCP
You'll excite us if you have:
Large scale distributed systems development experience
Experience with OS virtualization and microservices technologies ( VMWare ESX, KVM, Docker etc)
Familiarity with IoT device management and edge analytics platforms such as AWS IoT/Greengrass, Google IoT core, SmartThings etc.
Basic understanding of IP Networking - Switching/Routing/L3-L7 protocols
Strong analytical and debugging skills with customer-facing products experience
Excellent organization, prioritization and communication skills
