As Probation Officers, we coordinate with other probation officers and psychologists to develop, recommend and implement new rehabilitation and treatment. We also regularly interview probationers in order to evaluate their progress and evaluate the rehabilitation’s effectiveness. We initiate court action or recommend appropriate remedial action for any probation violation while verifying and ensure their compliance with substance abuse treatment programs by performing surprise drug and alcohol tests. We inform inmates or offenders of specific conditional release requirements and prepare their case files, records, and progress reports to assist their future liaison officers in helping their reintegration as productive members of society.
