We, procurement analysts, act as links between the company departments and required suppliers in creating suitable contracts. We are responsible for evaluation and analysis of capability, and suitability of suppliers. We are also, tasked with negotiating promising contracts with vendors of essential supplies. Preparing monthly supplier cost comparison and performance reports is also our responsibility as procurement analysts. We are tasked with monitoring supplier contract performance and communicating company change needs such as, pricing to vendors. We are expected to verify the quality of products delivered. As procurement analysts, we also monitor the supply or demand needs to ensure supply shortages to customers do not occur.
