What does a Product Development Assistant do?

Product development means taking a product from concept through design and engineering to the market. As product development assistants in marketing, we are involved in the last part of this cycle, which is market entry and commercialization. We execute on established go-to-market strategies and assist with the positioning, messaging, and branding efforts. We may develop use cases, value propositions, and content such as website copy, brochures, sales presentations, etc.

Core tasks:

  • creating use cases, user personas, messaging, content, and value propositions for assigned product(s)
  • performing market research
  • identifying market opportunities
  • executing go-to-market strategies
