About Product Support Engineer

What does a Product Support Engineer do?

Working as Product Support Engineers, we provide timely diagnosis and regular preventative maintenance to the company's product lines. We communicate with customer to determine equipment problems. We also travel to customer location to make adjustments and repairs on units. We assist with the commissioning of new equipment into service. We ensure that the equipment is operating according to specifications. Training the customer to operate the equipment is also a part of our responsibility. We provide the customer with equipment service manuals and other materials. We prepare PowerPoint presentations to train customers.

Core tasks:

  • maintain follow up with the customer to provide information to resolve problems
  • coordinate with the manufacturing unit to resolve production issues
  • relay information concerning customer needs to Sales and Engineering department
  • assist with current production projects
  • install software products and other applications at customers’ sites
  • program and check Electronic Equipment for Spare Parts and Warranties
  • install software upgrades in the field
