About Production Operator

What does a Production Operator do?

As Production Operators, we are responsible for various manufacturing pieces of equipment in a safe manner, while meeting production goals to perform basic machine operation functions such as loading or unloading of products while maintaining appropriate production records. We also assist in the development and application of training materials including standard work guides, troubleshooting guides, and other best practice documentation. In addition to that, we devise the coordination of planned and unplanned maintenance activities in a manner that minimizes production downtime. In the event of downtime, continues to stay productive during downtime by continuing to clean and organize work area and additional tasks as directed by the lead.

Core tasks:

  • assemble products in production line
  • employ high standards of assembly work to ensure high quality products are being produced on schedule
  • follow standard operating procedures and schedules to meet daily demands
  • perform in-process inspection to ensure products meet specifications and standards
  • maintain organized and safe work environment
  • follow instructions and respond to management direction
