About Program Assistant

What does a Program Assistant do?

As Program Assistants, we serve as primary liaison with all candidates to the fellowship program. We assist in the selection process and work with committee members, including maintaining a database and track all decisions across various rounds of review. We also track progress through the program. We manage program databases and files as well as the administration of the program.

Core tasks:

  • evaluating and improving office operations
  • organizing and managing the travel process
  • controlling the program supervisor's calendar, scheduling meetings and appointments without prior approval
  • maintaining program files of correspondence, program documents & reports
  • providing research and analytical assistance on the program as required
