PROGRAM FINANCIAL ANALYST (MPTX-19-0717-F):
Bowhead seeks an experienced Program Financial Analyst (PFA) to join our team in Plano, TX. The PFA will provide financial support on multiple government and commercial manufacturing contracts. The Program Financial Analyst will monitor program control for
multiple Government contracts, both Prime and Subcontractor, and ensure project financials are properly monitored and managed in pursuit of maximizing project profitability and cash flow. This position will support all finance related activities and data calls
for assigned projects while ensuring compliance with internal procedures, as well as with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and contract-specific financial requirements. The PFA will work with the VP
of Manufacturing and Products (M&P) and technical staff to accurately track, forecast, and advise on financial matters. The position reports to the Corporate Finance Manager while supporting the financial analysis needs of the M&P Business Unit. The M&P PFA
supports the VP and the Corporate Finance team in the analysis of financial and manufacturing information, financial reporting, inventory control, product costing, and other duties as assigned.
Essential job functions include:
Responsibility for various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis. Will create and maintain project forecasts in Cobra, a Deltek product.
Responding to rate and budget questions & provides explanation to ensure management understanding.
Developing and maintaining Estimates-to-Complete (ETC) and Estimates-at-Completion (EAC).
Reviewing and tracking expenses and revenues vs. budget and forecast, and analyzing variance drivers.
Preparing monthly deliverables.
Assisting Management and administrative staff on various data calls.
Creating and updating program spend plans.
Assisting in annual operating budget and reforecast process.
Evaluating profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed.
Developing, maintaining and distributing ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
Reviewing expenses to ensure proper accounting codes are used.
Participating in the control and oversight of physical inventory including research, analysis and adjustment of inventory discrepancies, transfers, cycle counts, and the year-end physical count.
Recording and maintaining records of and reports on Fixed Asset Purchases.
Assisting with special projects, analysis and other duties as assigned by manager.
