Food and Beverage Sector Project Manager Tracking Code 1274-132 Job Description Carollo Engineers, Inc., a leader in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater related facilities, is seeking a motivated individual to support the growth of our Food and Beverage Sector serving the Private Sector Group within Carollo. At Carollo, we work with our clients to solve complex water challenges through innovative solutions that drive productivity, facility and system reliability, and overall profitability. As a Project Manager (PM) in this sector we are looking for a leader with strong communication skills, a propensity for client service, and the ability to adapt to fast-pace project needs while leading a productive and efficient design team. A desirable PM candidate will also have experience with engineering support during project construction, and teaming with equipment suppliers, contractors, and/or other design firms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Developing and documenting project scopes of work (SOW). Developing and documenting project budgets and schedules, based on defined SOW + Managing change of established project contracts (scope, budget, and schedule) based on client inputs and business driven changes + Defining and aligning resource needs to meet the requirement of the projects within the Carollo organization. This could include outsourcing for specific design support needs, depending on timing of the project and current in-house resource availability + Understanding and assisting with the definition and development of project deliverables for the various phases of a project (including positioning, feasibility, programming, detail design, and services during construction) + Understanding project construction needs associated with various project scopes and how they drive design package releases, project costs, and utilization of resource needs + Developing, coordinating, and maintaining relationships with the client and their design professionals + Being a leader in the coordination and collaboration of a project team (client, internal staff, partners, and other stakeholders) + Supporting the development of the design team. Looking for training opportunities and other methods to grow the skill of design team members + Serving as a mentor for less experienced engineering staff + Understanding and providing appropriate design support for permitting the work based on the requirements of the local jurisdiction Required Skills + Broad experience in the design and construction industry with an understanding of water and wastewater treatment and related infrastructure + Prior experience working in a multi-discipline design team in support of water or wastewater facility projects for the food and beverage industry + Experience in tracking productivity and quality control of design document production and other project deliverables + Experience with standard and alternative project delivery methods for design and construction + Excellent communications and technical writing skills + Positive, team-oriented attitude Required Experience + Established relationships with project owners and ability to provide a high level of client service + Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required + Registration in California as a Professional Engineer is required + Master's degree in Engineering and registration as a Project Management Professional (PMP) are both desired + Experience with collaborative project delivery methods for design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure + Approximately ten (10) years of experience with a proven record of accomplishment in the planning, design, procurement, and construction execution of water-related projects Carollo is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
