About Provider Relations Manager

What does a Provider Relations Manager do?

As Provider Relations Managers, we manage the daily activities of Provider Services Representatives (PSRs) and outside company consultants responsible for recruiting, maintaining, and improving the provider’s participation and satisfaction. We educate internal and external parties as needed to ensure compliance with contract policies and parameters, plan design, compensation process, technology, performance measurement techniques, policies, and procedures. We also coordinate the activities of PSRs to improve satisfaction and manage relationships between the company and its providers. We participate in quality assurance procedures by reviewing satisfaction surveys, performing follow-up calls as necessary, and ensuring that any provider issue is dealt with on time.

Core tasks:

  • identify access barriers, and new billing/reimbursement trends
  • monitor tasks’ completion and recommends improvements to processes and workflows
  • evaluate the effectiveness of the providers’ services within the PSR function
