Provost

As Provosts, we are the Chief Academic Officer of a university and responsible for providing primary administrative leadership, direction. We will evaluate for all academic activities and faculty affairs of the university. Also, we conduct the duties of the office of President of the university when the President is unable or unavailable. We oversee the following colleges, centers, and offices: the Colleges of Arts and Letters, Business Administration, Education, Health and Human Services.

Core tasks:

• fostering intellectual growth, student learning, and scholarly and creative activities by providing academic strategic planning, administrative leadership, direction
• demonstrating sound fiscal management and empirical-based decision making by overseeing program development, budgets, and facilities
• ensuring an active and expanding dialogue with external constituencies by encouraging partnerships with external constituents and public organizations
• contributing to the overall success of the University by performing all other duties as needed
