About Psychology Intern

What does a Psychology Intern do?

As Psychology Interns, we are tasked with assisting the clinic’s physiologist in performing their research by collecting data from consenting patients after informing them that no personal data such as name, phone, or address will be kept. We coordinate and collaborate with mathematicians to develop adequate equations to determine whether the data has a statistically significant meaning and model it into tables, charts, or graphs to better visualize it. We also write our findings in the final thesis paper after consulting with professors and colleagues to weed out any plagiarism.

Core tasks:

  • assist clients with disabilities move to the psychologist office
  • conduct small psychological assessments under the direct supervision of a psychologist
