What does a Purchaser do?

As purchasers, our job is entirely about buying goods and supplies for our company. Our essential job tasks include performing research on the market and making a connection with the vendors and shopkeepers. As purchasers, we need to make permanent connections with the vendors and service people. Our job responsibilities include reviewing deliveries before dispatching and receiving. Some of us have to travel around the world to make deals with clients. Our job requires us to be very keen while purchasing goods. We also have to resell products to potential clients.

  • performing research on the products as well as with the market
  • meeting and building relations with vendors
  • working as a link between the delivery and storage houses
