About QA Automation Engineer

What does a QA Automation Engineer do?

As QA Automation Engineers, we execute test automation and develop tests for new features. We design new automated tests and ensure that the existing suites run successfully. We develop software that tests other software, designing the architecture of tests. Our main goal is to ensure the accuracy of the specification and the implementation.

Core tasks:

  • quick identification of incorrect code
  • estimating time for constructing tests
  • maintaining test code
  • monitoring the performance and quality of running tests
  • creating mock data in files and databases for testing
  • liaising with stakeholders
  • demonstrating the understanding of requirements through authoring tests
  • providing feedback to the team
