About QA Engineer

What does a QA Engineer do?

As QA Engineers, we are in charge of testing software development-related or technical-oriented products. Our duty is to ensure that the products and software systems perform trouble-free. We independently develop and design testing plans to improve products. Then we conduct and execute test cases and evaluate their results. We work closely with the engineering team, QA Analysts, software developers, and managers. Some QA Engineers take part in audits too.

Core tasks:

  • researching and documenting software bugs
  • problem isolation and resolution
  • expanding automatic testing
  • designing testing scope
  • taking part in the hiring process
  • training team members
  • liaising with users
  • conducting product demonstrations with clients
  • being involved in the release process
