About Quality Control Specialist

What does a Quality Control Specialist do?

As Quality Control Specialists, we are responsible for checking the products to make sure that they are free from any defect. We make sure to inspect output samples by comparing them to standards. We also propose measures in order to improve the final product for the best results. Conducting product tests, identifying defects, and reporting issues are some of our main responsibilities. We make sure that all the defective parts of the product being repaired. We also make product repairs to save time as well overall cost. Finally, we support process improvements for testing as well as quality processes. As quality control specialists, we deliver reports to other teams in order to address the problem areas.

Core tasks:

  • testing products using a variety of techniques so that the specifications are met
  • identifying product defects as well as finding ways to resolve the issue
  • keeping detailed records of product defects as they test products
