In general terms, while quality assurance is preventive and focuses on planning and streamlining processes, quality control is about inspecting the finished product to identify defects. Our duties therefore include inspecting raw materials and finished product, as well as planning, implementing, and monitoring workflows and processes. Some of us manage a team of internal auditors. We are also responsible for championing quality within the whole organization, and delivering quality-related training to employees.
