Despite of our stressful moments at work; my colleagues and I always remained with a positive outlook on how our work day/night will be. We all helped one another all the time, our communication skills made our workload that much easier for our other work colleagues to get their results back on a reasonable time; so their patients can be taken care of in a proper matter. My personal experience with Quest Diagnostics will always be a very memorable one. Everyone from my colleagues to the patients' and their families made my experiences unforgettable. I am A CCAC graduate from the Phlebotomy Program Class of 2018. I attended my internship at Quest Diagnostics in Monroeville, PA. It was very pleasant, the staff were extremely helpful being awesome instructors, patient as well and excellent phlebotomist, the patients were very nice, so it was always a very pleasant atmosphere.

Lots of close parking, near all restaurants for lunch, on first floor.
I think the hours are a tad bit to long.

Any supervisor will tell you what you want to hear. Being a lead is not worth the headache and stress with what you will encounter and have every day. Bottom line is your on a timer no matter what.. even if your not a lead They tell you patients matter and yes to them they do, but also turn out of the turn out is all the care. Its more money to collect. But you have 5 mins to call them with them onced checking in(as a appointment) and 10 mins to get them registered, drawn, and out of your chair.. It doesnt matter if they are a hard stick, need a order clarification, move slow a molasses because theybare elderly or come in with multiple orders. Your timer is clicking and so is your raise and bonus and that not in a good way either..

Money is ok.. if you stay a level 1 psr.. any higer status.. nope!

I started in April without any formal training. After making a few mistakes, I was written up and fired on March 17. They do not train you and then hold you completely responsible when mistakes are made. But they smile in your face and tell you everything is ok.

I was laid off due to a maternity leave come back. As well as the loss of my childrens father. But over all , i love working for Quest and was a great employee that many patients requested for due to my great patient care , kindness, and painless blood draw.

I would’ve never imagined that advancement opportunities are low with Quest being such a big company and an impact on the community. That’s not what they promote while you’re applying for a position at their company. That’s false advertisement.
