What does a Radiologic Technologist do?

As radiologic Technologists, we are assisting in taking images of organs to identify illness and injuries. We operate various kinds of equipment like x-ray, CT, MRI, and mammography machines to get accurate organ images. Generally, we work under the supervision of physicians or radiologists. Educating the patients about the radiology procedure is an important aspect of our position. We work closely with radiologists and physicians to address patient concerns timely.

Core tasks:

  • educate the patients about the radiologic procedures verbally and in written format
  • operate the radiologic equipment to get the images of the body
  • ensure the proper safety standards for patients and team members
  • ensure that the equipment remains in the working condition
