I started out in the scheduling department as an exam scheduler and spent my days pretty much on the phone. Communicating with patients over the phone was pretty stressful but management was very understanding and always supportive. The same still held true when I transferred to one of the outpatient centers closer to home. Obviously, the interactions became face to face instead of over the phone. Even if I didn’t move out of state, I probably would’ve tried to find something better elsewhere as the pay was not enough to live self sufficiently in California.

Pros and Cons
Occasional free lunch, great people, great learning opportunity
Low pay, stressful
