About Rate Analyst

What does a Rate Analyst do?

As Rate Analysts, we coordinate with the management to review, monitor, and evaluate service rates and charges for multiple public utilities to determine the appropriate fee to charge the users and determine whether or not it should be free. We also calculate and compute the exact cost-of-service and perform other related rate analyses while ensuring that each filing complies with the federal and state regulations and laws to avoid potential lawsuits.

Core tasks:

  • negotiate prices with suppliers to get better rates
  • research for new methods to reduce the transportation costs
