Our client in Greenwich, CT is currently seeking a Real Estate Legal Assistant with 2+ years of experience supporting a Real Estate Attorney. This exciting role offers growth and learning opportunities for a motivated self-starter with real estate secretarial experience who is seeking to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Must be energetic, flexible and possess a strong work ethic
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ residential and commercial real estate experience in a law firm setting
  • Familiarity with Connecticut real estate procedures (knowledge of New York is a plus)
  • Working knowledge of legal documents, such as contracts, leases, deeds, mortgages, closing disclosures and general residential documents
  • Strong typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented setting with other Legal Assistants and Paralegals supporting a senior partner and associates
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, ability to follow directions, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proofreading
  • Must be open to taking on new responsibilities and challenging tasks


  • Document management and organization, including saving to the cloud-based network, indexing, and drafting correspondence and other legal documents
  • Calendaring and scheduling
  • Client and attorney disbursements
  • Prepare check requests
  • Organize and maintain files
  • Communicate with clients, attorneys, lenders and brokers
  • Prepare and edit lease and commercial real estate transactional documents
  • Prepare closing binders

  • ClericalKnowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Customer and Personal ServiceKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • English LanguageKnowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
