Job Description
RegalCare at Greenwich is a 75 bed SNF looking to add a dynamic new addition to our Recreation Department. As part of our team, you will assist and lead activities set up by the Recreation Director. Some Receptionist hours may also be included.Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and decorate for scheduled programs
- Document activities attendance
- Encourage Residents to participate in appropriate activities
- Ensure that Residents have activities to occupy their free time
- Perform all duties as requested by the Recreation Director and/or Admissions Director
- Comply with all facility policies
- Answer facility telephones
- Greet all visitors entering the facility
This position requires weekend, holiday and some evening hours.

TASKS
- Enforce rules and regulations of recreational facilities to maintain discipline and ensure safety.
- Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, sports, games, camping, and hobbies.
- Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly, given the available equipment or facilities.
- Manage the daily operations of recreational facilities.

- Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Writing — Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively.
KNOWLEDGE
- Clerical — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Psychology — Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
