About Recreation Director

What does a Recreation Director do?

As recreation directors, we assess the requirements and needs of the organizations. We are responsible for planning the activity programs. We communicate with the members of communities. It is our duty to research the recreation programs and sports programs. We ensure proper planning of recreation activities. After planning and revision of plans, we implement the recreation programs. We assess the effectiveness of recreation programs. Our duties include ensuring the benefits of the implemented programs. We manage the schedules for different recreation activities. Moreover, we train and recruit volunteers and staff. Some of us also supervise the activities. Lastly, we ensure that activities are complying with the budgets.
