About Regional Vice President of Sales

What does a Regional Vice President of Sales do?

In the function of Regional VP of Sales, we are responsible for the development and delivery of sales strategies in our assigned geographic region. We maintain an in-depth understanding of competitive conditions, industry practices, market opportunities, and customer requirements for the region. Armed with this knowledge, we lead a team of sales professionals to achieve or exceed our organization’s sales and market share goals. We identify new prospects in our region and work with our team to convert them into new clients. We also oversee contract negotiations and the closing of deals.

Core tasks:

  • researching and acknowledging region-specific trends
  • developing and implementing strategic sales plans in assigned region
  • providing strategic direction to regional sale steam
  • developing new sales opportunities and initiatives
  • assisting in key accounts management
  • analyzing sales reports, developing plans of action
