What does a Reimbursement Specialist do?

We, the reimbursement specialists, offer administrative help to other medical practitioners by tackling various business-related tasks. We work along with healthcare professionals like physicians and nurses in medical facilities, helping different patients with insurance reimbursements processing, and making and scheduling bill payment plans. We determine the limit a patient’s insurance covers the treatment. We work with billing and insurance companies for the determination of payment methods for patients.

Core tasks:

  • processing claims accurately and quickly
  • ensuring customers or clients are receiving accurate reimbursements
  • dealing with patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • ensuring complete compliance with federal and state regulations
