What does a Reliability Manager do?

As reliability managers, we are engineers working in industrial production, ensuring that equipment and machines operate in a safe and efficient manner. We create and implement strategies to improve machine reliability and to reduce downtime. This essentially means planning and coordinating maintenance activities with a team of maintenance professionals, taking machine conditions and specific operational workflows into account.

Core tasks:

  • developing and implementing maintenance strategy
  • developing and enforcing safety rules
  • ensuring equipments meet required specifications
  • conducting assessments
  • coordinating maintenance activities with an aim to reduce downtime
