About Research Administrator

What does a Research Administrator do?

As Research Administrators, we are responsible for administrating departmental research efforts. We report and submit signed effort certificates with guidelines. Our job is to collaborate with the central administration to communicate research faculty needs and maintain agreements’ records and grant awards. We advise department managers and investigators on funding issues. Our job is to identify compliance issues such as animal welfare, human subjects, biohazards and oversee staff attendance at safety training. We provide support to pertinent Faculty research degree committees and ensure the follow-up of committees' decisions.

Core tasks:

  • develop goals and strategies for developers and researchers by coordinating with top executives.
  • support the staff by providing technical assistance to technicians and scientists.
  • check on laboratories stocks for equipment and supplies to keep it stocked.
