About Respite Provider

What does a Respite Provider do?

As Respite Providers, we are tasked with helping the ill, disabled and ill clients by providing both comfort and companionship. We administer medicines and monitor the client's vital signs for appropriate action. We assess the mental, physical and emotional status of our clients. It is our responsibility to facilitate recommended professional intervention when needed. We engage our clients in critical activities such as playing games, reading, socializing, and walking around. We assist our clients to perform duties such as drinking, eating, and maintaining personal hygiene. It is expected of us to accompany our clients on outings and for medical appointments.
