What does a Restaurant Manager do?

As Restaurant Managers, we are responsible for overseeing restaurant operations to ensure a superior customer experience. We assist in hiring, training, and developing staff members as per the company's standards. We also serve to enhance the guest experience by supervising services and food quality. Ensuring the timely delivery of food and services in a professional manner is also part of our duty. We host an effective pre-shift meeting to inform and motivate service staff. We also ensure compliance with policies and standards. Working as Restaurant Managers, we are responsible for monitoring the staff duties throughout the shift. Finally, we create a positive work environment for the optimal working of staff members.

Core tasks:

  • uploading standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety
  • supervising services and food quality
  • coaching and mentoring staff to develop professionally
  • ensuring compliance with restaurant standards and policies
