What does a Restaurant Supervisor do?

As restaurant supervisors, we make sure that the clients are satisfied with the services and food quality . We also work closely with the food suppliers and kitchen staff to maintain the standard. Scheduling the activities for the restaurant staff and provide the proper equipment are also listed in our core responsibilities. Not only with kitchen and dining staff, but we also have to develop proper coordination with guests to improve the level of customer satisfaction. We manage all the storage supplies and evaluate the performance of staff on the weekly basis.

Core tasks:

  • assist the restaurant managers in interviewing, training, supervision, and counseling staff
  • proper communication both verbal and written to ensure clear direction to the staff
  • monitor the performance of staff and encourage improvement where necessary
  • communicate with customers and get feedback about the services and food
