About Restorative Aide

What does a Restorative Aide do?

As Restorative Aides, we are responsible for providing restorative and rehabilitation care for patients to maintain their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We perform restorative and therapy tasks on patients as required and maintain an integrated approach toward patient outcomes. We gather and document patients’ data for restorative therapeutic purposes. Serving meals to residents and patients in a restorative facility is part of our daily responsibilities. We initiate standards and guidelines in healthcare facilities. We implement group and individualized restorative programs and assist healthcare staff in bathing, dressing, and grooming patients. Working as Restorative Aides, we follow appropriate safety and hygiene measures to protect residents and patients. We also comply with facility guidelines for documentation and physicians’ orders.

Core tasks:

  • interact with therapists and implement healthcare programs
  • identify potential issues and report to supervisor
  • maintain a professional attitude and appearance
