The Senior Mail Operations Pharmacist (VSP/PT)registered Pharmacist who is responsible for the accurate and timely dispensing of prescribed medication to patients. The Senior Mail Operations Pharmacist (VSP/PT) work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Mail Operations Pharmacist (VSP/PT) ensures adherence to quality assurance standards, accurate tracking techniques and a review process prior to shipping medications to patients. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications
  • Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Licensed as a PHARMACIST in state(s) of practice
  • Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
  • Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group
  • Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
  • Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with computers
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Must be able to commute to clinics in Broward, Palm Beach North Miami Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Pembroke Pines, as needed


Preferred Qualifications

3 or more years experience in a high volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment

Role Hours: Mon-Fri 8-5 as needed

Pharmacists Retail Pharmacist

As Retail Pharmacists, we are responsible for serving patients by preparing medications, giving pharmacological information to the multidisciplinary health care team, and monitoring patient drug therapies. We have to prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. We need to dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. We maintain current registration, study existing and new legislation, anticipate legislation, and advise management on needed actions.

Core tasks:

  • controlling medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions
  • completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians’ workflow
  • providing pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and counseling patients
  • maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
