About RIG Supervisor

What does a RIG Supervisor do?

As RIG Supervisors, we supervise oil rigs and manage our crew that drills in a certain region. We drill holes of required depth while keeping under company policies, client requirements; industry recommended practices and government standards. Our job also includes daily routine maintenance, lubrication, and inspections of the machinery and the tools. Our job is to maintain the engine room, workshops, and all related spaces in a clean and hazard-free condition at all times. We can also provide our inputs on hiring, firing, and promoting the crew members. Moreover, we ensure we follow a maintenance management system, develop continuous improvement plans, and have enough resources to support efficient operation completion.

Core tasks:

  • required calculations to carry out the drilling operations for turn-key and day work projects
  • coordinating and conducting routine drill inspections
  • working with manufacturing professionals in designing the experimental mechanical systems
  • ensuring that everyone follows the approved rig operating procedures all the time. Reporting any unsafe activities, situations, and potential hazards
