Rite Aid Pharmacy is an American drugstore chain which was founded in 1962 in Scranton, Pennsylvania by Alex Grass . It is the supreme drugstore chain on the East Coast and comes number third in the US. The company opened its first store in 1962 in Scranton which was known as Thrift D Discount Center and after several years of expansion, it adopted its current name and debuted as a public company in 1968 along with that it traded on the New York Exchange under the symbol RAD as of 2020. Ten Years after the opening of its first store, it operated 267 locations in 10 states and became the third-leading retail drugstore chain in the country. In January 1999, Rite Aid formed a partnership with the General Nutrition Corporation bringing GNC mini-stores within it. At Rite Aid, the applicants are cared and work to make accommodations and the company strives to offer the products and services that are valued by its customers to lead a happy life.

If you want to get into the medical industry without the stress of going to school for another two/four years. I would highly recommend getting your pharmacy tech license and Rite Aid is a great company to start at.

Personally i liked working at Rite Aid, but there would be times my hours got close to 40 being fulltime and then other times it would be to short. Just a thing to be aware of, depending on your store and how many employees your hours can vary.🙂

Good work autonomy as you are not micromanaged- for me: great coworkers (luck), ability to move up quickly. Your store manager creates the culture in your store, I’ve seen horrendous/abusive ones, and now have a wonderful one

No co. is perfect but I would recommend this one. Between having a union and managers who care, its not that bad of a place to work. Management at the store level care, as long as u give them your best effort every shift.

I was apprehensive about working retail but my store managers and shift supervisors were amazing.💖 The district manager and human resource manager routinely checked in at the stores and created actual relationships with all staff.
