Position Summary Texas Oncology is looking for a RN Infusion Supervisor to join our team ! This position is for the Arlington and Mansfield locations, one of the 175+ sites we have across the state of Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. The ideal candidate for the RN Infusion Supervisor will have the following background and experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred. Minimum five years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least three years oncology experience. One-year supervisory experience preferred. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current CPR certification required. Current or pending oncology certification preferred. What does the RN Nursing Supervisor do? This position is responsible for supervising nursing and clinical support staff that provides professional nursing care to patients and adheres to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participates in companywide quality initiatives. The essential duties and responsibilities: Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities. Maintains effective nursing staff coverage for the practice within budgetary constraints. Assists in determining staffing requirements. Screens and interviews nursing applicants and orients and trains staff. Participates in the interviewing and recruiting of nursing personnel. Assists with the review and revision of clinical policies and procedures. Assists in verifying encounter form charges to ensure proper/appropriate charges. Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff. Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime. Assists with staff training and in-services as required. Ensures nurses maintain all required competencies on an annual basis. Verifies all licensing and national certification criteria are met. Provides support and direction as required in the area of clinical research in the practice to ensure staff compliance to the established research protocols.
