About Robotics Technician

What does a Robotics Technician do?

As Robotics Technicians, we determine causes for operational problems or failures by regularly troubleshooting the robotic system using microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, as well as sensors or feedback systems. We assemble and disassemble robots and peripheral equipment to make appropriate repairs such as replacing defective circuit boards, controllers, sensors, encoders, and servomotors to maintain the electromechanical equipment. We also perform regular preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems and components while maintaining accurate service records of each robotic equipment or automated production system in compliance with the company’s established guidelines.

Core tasks:

  • install, program, and repair robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, or conveyors
