Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) was founded in 1829 as a private, diverse and coeducational university in the country that offers degree programs in engineering, science, business, and the arts, with nine colleges and studies nearly 19,000 students including nearly 2,000 international students from all 50 states and over 100 countries. Out of which more than 2,200 are students of color. The university has more than 900 deaf and hard-of-hearing students supported by RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf. Rochester Institute of Technology’s main campus in Rochester, New York and has international campuses in China, Croatia, Dubai, and Kosovo. The university has talented and creative students of all cultures and backgrounds across the world. Diversity magazine INSIGHT has recognized the university as a prestigious “Diversity Champion” into three consecutive years (2016, 2017, 2018). In addition, RIT also received the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award four times.
