On February 14, 1867, a group of concerned citizens founded the Sacramento Children's Home. The Sacramento Children's Home, which started as an orphanage and then grew into a children's farm association and a home for the lost, has been committed to the care and support of Sacramento's most vulnerable children and families for over 150 years. Every day, we work to break the cycle of child violence and neglect in the community and provide hope for at-risk children and families. To complement the history of residential programs, it has built community-based prevention and early intervention programs. Also, the Residential Treatment Program offers intensive care for abused or neglected males aged 6 to 18 years old, preparing them to succeed in a family setting. It is hiring urgent response therapists, urgent response supervisor, engagement specialists and many more.
