Safelite Auto Glass is a great company to work for, however I feel like management should find ways to let their employees know that they are valued. But not only when there is a survey that the employees take to let the company know how they feel about the management.

Pros and Cons
Free lunches, career recognition, support their employees
Too much negativity, not enough recognition

I started at this company years ago and it was okay. Key word okay. Never great. They will pile 8-9 jobs a day on you and when it hits 4-5pm the management team is leaving and going home leaving you to deal with the rest of the work on your own. I have had multiple 8-9pm days where no one in my store would come help me and I was stranded with no answers for my customers because my management team decides to intentionally not answer the phone. If you decide you want to travel for the company via their programs that pay an incentive you may put yourself into a situation with your store deciding to make your life miserable when you get back. They have done this to me 3 times now and when I contacted HR about this issue they essentially blew me off and said I was “exaggerating” my claims. This company does not care about its technicians no matter how many times they say it. They preach “people powered” but only care about lining the upper managements pockets with a bonus from overworking u

Pros and Cons
The other technicians you work with that are also getting screwed by the company.
Pay increase insanely hard. Greedy. Overworked. Terrible management.

Worked here over 2 years, but all of a sudden things changed. Nothing was good enough, or fast enough.

Pros and Cons
Lunch was provided fairly regularly, managers would bring donuts in too
Even if you could attain the expectations they would move the goal post and want more, always more

The company cares more about it's corporate employess than others on a store level. They always want more and more profit. There is no work life/balance. Too many employees are overworked without proper compensation.

Pros and Cons
Decent pay, multiple benefit choices
No work/life balance. The company is only concerned about profit not it's employees.

Corporate greed gets in the way of local teams and leaders trying to be successful. No support from leaders at any level for the techs or managers that were thrown into the role and given a set of keys

Pros and Cons
Mandatory six day weeks
Corporate management tries to micromanage on the field level. No support for struggling indivduals

They have ridiculous metrics to be met when it comes to time management and time off. I never knew exactly where I stood on each of those. After 5 years and no merit raises I started to push for a raise from $13.25 to $15.00. Was denied. Took vacation time I thought I had earned and wasn't paid because of how they calculated paid time off. If you had to handle certain accounts the quality standards were so nit-picky you could rarely get a decent score from them. Being injured on the job was a joke, never even got paid for time off from a fall in the building. They have finely tuned every conceivable way not to pay reps in the call center. The company mission and vision were outstanding, but they sure never lived up to it for employees or customers. After 5 years, I had determined to quit. They beat me to it by firing me for too many 1/2-1 minute tardies.

Pros and Cons
Fast food lunches if we had worked through a time of high volume of calls.
Poor parking, difficult access into building, stringent policies regarding time management.
